This session is cancelled - Higher Education Mental Health First Aid
Higher Education Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course that teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill-health and provide help on a first aid basis.
Learning takes place through a mix of group activities, presentations, and discussions. The course is designed to give you:

A deeper understanding of student and staff mental health

Practical skills to spot the early signs of mental ill-health

Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress

Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening

Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to appropriate support
Please Note: To achieve the accredited certificate there is a requirement to attend the full day. If there is a cohort of less than eight then the session will be cancelled.
