CANCELLED Attending to You: stock-take for personal and professional growth In-Person
Do you ever experience negative self-talk? Get the feeling you are an imposter in the research world? When did you last take stock of your competencies and achievements? How confident are you in what you and your research have to offer? What can you take control of and what do you need to let go? Are you paying attention to YOU as well as your research?
The research environment is demanding. Researchers have multiple pressures, are frequently scrutinized and have to learn how to deal with set-backs and sometimes rejection. This workshop will encourage you to reflect on some of the personal qualities, feelings and attitudes that are an integral part of being an effective and impactful researcher.
Through guided activities and small group discussions you will be supported to challenge self-limiting beliefs, share tools and techniques for improvement and set yourself developmental tasks and goals.
This session is for you if you want to:
- 'flip' self-limiting beliefs and negative self-talk
- take stock of your abilities and achievements
- learn to focus on what is in your circle of influence
A few hours investment in you which will pay dividends!
