Incorporating video to enhance active blended learning

Incorporating video to enhance active blended learning

Panopto is LJMU’s institutional video recording and management system, that greatly simplifies the process of media creation and sharing through an easy to use set of tools and secure integration into Canvas course spaces. Panopto is already winning the praise of LJMU staff and students through a number of applications including sharing of short video messages by tutors, recorded lab demonstrations, narrated PowerPoints, live broadcasts, student presentations, video assignments and lecture capture. Video allows staff to support diverse student needs and rethink how programmes are delivered such as ‘flipped’ teaching and broadening the range of ways that students engage with their learning. Additional parts of the system allow built-in quizzing, captioning and group notetaking.

Please make sure you install Panopto before attending the session. This is a link to the install guide.

If you have any problems with installing Panopto please raise a ticket here and signpost it to the Learning Technology Team.
