To the Volcano: A Conversation

To the Volcano: A Conversation Online

The Research Institute for Literature and Cultural History welcomes Elleke Boehmer, who will talk about and read from her most recent collection of short stories To the Volcano (Myriad Editions, 2019).  The stories are all set in southern countries, including Argentina, Zimbabwe and Australia, or face out to the southern hemisphere.  The collection epigraph from Kudzanai-Violet Hwami is 'If you keep going south you will meet yourself.' In conversation with Filippo Menozzi, Elleke Boehmer will explore some of the implications of this provocation for her writing.
