at JMU Students’ Union Student Hub
in the Student Life Building!

LiRICS is LJMU's new research institute bringing together and accelerating world-leading research around climate and sustainability. It is a pan-university approach to research and knowledge exchange in order to deliver impactful solutions to the challenges faced by society - and is a key objective in LJMU’s Climate Action Plan.

Join our event to:

  • Learn about LJMU's exciting new plans for accelerating climate and sustainability research
  • Connect with LJMU research networks (see below)
  • Build your network to access new opportunities for collaboration and progressing your research development
  • ...with lyrics and music!

Indicative schedule:

  • Welcome by Professors Mark Power (VC and CEO) and Keith George (PVC Research & Knowledge Exchange).
  • LiRICS overview by Professors Tony Wall and Jason Kirby (interim directors).
  • Key insights into LiRICS new networks:
    • Partnerships for incubating and accelerating transitions
    • Inclusive transitions
    • Greening economy
    • Lifespan education
    • Nature-based solutions
    • Plus connections into... BEST, IHR, FORRI, and CER.
  • Networking and refreshments around stalls for each network...
    with a wish tree and lyrics and music from local artist KingFast!
