Suicide Awareness Training: Staff Session In-Person
This is a free training event to support the Wirral and Merseyside Suicide Prevention plan to reduce deaths by suicide.
This training is open to anyone working or volunteering at LJMU who would like to increase their awareness of and skills in suicide prevention.
The training will provide:
- Information related to the current research statistics for suicide across the world and closer to home on the Wirral and Merseyside
- Greater understanding of suicidal feelings
- Identification of the factors that make people feel uncomfortable about starting the conversation about this subject
- Opportunity to develop skills to talk with someone who we believe may be considering suicide
