PhD by Published Work: is it for me?

If you have a set of peer-reviewed publications but have never got around to doing a PhD, this route might be for you. If you can demonstrate that there is an intellectual cohesion between your publications, that they fit within a research arc, and make a coherent contribution to knowledge in your field then you could have a viable submission. In this workshop, hosted by the Doctoral Academy, you will have the chance to hear from supervisors and holders of the award.

The workshop will:

1. Discuss the viability of a submission based on an audit of existing publications;

2. Outline the protocols for framing a submission within a thesis;

3. Consider disciplinary norms in a submission for the award.

Who might attend?

Any member of staff with a suite of refereed publications. Please note, this PhD is relevant to experienced researchers and should not be confused with the journal format PhD, completed during a normal period of PhD registration.

This workshop will take place over MS Teams - the joining link will emailed to participants 24 hours before it is due to take place.
