What do we know about the university experience of justice-involved students?

What do we know about the university experience of justice-involved students? In-Person

Although it is recognised that justice-involved people (individuals who have contact or interaction with criminal justice services) are largely drawn from groups UCAS and the government consider ‘disadvantaged,’ they are overlooked by the higher education sector in both theory and practice. Drawing on findings from a qualitative project undertaken across LJMU, this workshop explores how justice-involved students navigate university life. In doing so, the session will provide an opportunity for participants to explore a under-researched and under-represented issue that raises fundamental questions about the university experience amongst a growing population of students.

This event will be held online via MSTeams.  The link to join the meeting will be shared closer to the time of the event.

Hosted by the Teaching and Learning Academy, this workshop will be delivered by Dr Helena Gosling, Programme Leader for Criminal Justice.
