Professor Georgina Endfield, APVC Research and Impact (Humanities and Social Sciences); Professor of Environmental History, the University of Liverpool, will welcome our closing keynote speaker, Ashley Farley

In this talk, Ashley will discuss how the scholarly community can move from postulating the future to living in it. It will take bold action, but the outcome will be worth it! Is this the tipping point for change that we’ve been waiting for? Join this interactive discussion to find out. 

Ashley Farley is the Programme officer of Knowledge and Research services at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. She leads the Foundation’s Open Access Policy and the work of Gates Open Research, a transparent and revolutionary publishing platform. For the past decade Ashley has focused on digital inclusion and facilitating access to scholarly content.
