James Hanley: New Directions symposium and workshop In-Person
Registration is now closed for the symposium and workshop James Hanley: New Directions on Saturday, 16th September at the Bluecoat in Liverpool.
The programme of events will include:
- A film screening on James Hanley's Liverpool roots, by Tony Wailey and George Ditton
- A series of individual paper presentations
- A dramatized reading of Hanley's work
- A scoping session on future pathways for Hanley research
Attendance is free and includes refreshments and lunch.
10:30-11:00: Arrival and coffee
11:00-11:10: Welcome by Emily Cuming
11:10-11.50: Screening of short film by Tony Wailey and George Ditton, followed by discussion

11:50-12:30: ‘James Hanley - Reflections on his Life and Work’; presentation and Q&A with Chris
