Teaching Insights: Decolonising the curriculum: what does it mean and how can I apply it to my own practice? In-Person

In this seminar, I will introduce some academic and historical background to help understand the rise of the “decolonising the curriculum” debate. I will offer practical examples drawing on our “Postcolonial Writing” module we teach in HSS, and an opportunity to reflect on possible strategies for engaging with decolonising the curriculum in your own teaching. During the seminar, undergraduate students will share their views, challenges, and achievements from a student point of view.

This event will be held in-person in the Redmonds Building, Room 1.37

Hosted by the Teaching and Learning Academy, this event is part of the Teaching Insights series and will be led by Dr Filippo Menozzi, Reader in Postcolonial Studies, School of Humanities and Social Science
